Our client’s European manufacturing facility is based in Co Mayo and Taylor Groups experience of working in this industry provided the required knowledge and capability to project manage the design, procurement and delivery of this fit-out project achieving our clients critical milestone date of operational readiness within one year of receiving the commission.
Overview
Taylor Group was engaged to provide a professional design consultative service including procurement and construction management for a 930m2 ISO7 cleanroom fitout project and associated supporting accommodation in an IDA ATB facility.
The overall facility footprint is c.3,900 m2 and comprises primarily a cleanroom suite with associated offices, conference rooms, dining hall, gowning room, packaging hall, warehouse and maintenance workshop, shipping and receiving hall.
From date of appointment the project was taken through the design stages, procurement and executed on site in a twelve month period. Statutory compliance comprised the submission of a planning application with fire certificate and DAC application for the additional technical floor area.
Due to the requirements of the very tight programme long lead items were procured in advance of the appointment of the main building contractor and the overall programme and construction works were managed directly by Taylor Group.
The fast track nature of this project required TG to tailor a design and tender solution that prioritized nearly procurement of specific long lead items and design flexibility for future manufacturing capability. The use of polished concrete floors double stud low level return walls and a timber technical floor allowed TG to satisfy the very tight programme requirements.
