The Taylor Group team execute inspections on site as are necessary to ensure that a project is progressing in accordance with the contract programme, design intent and that specifications and standards of workmanship are adhered to.
Site meetings shall be conducted regularly with the construction team and documented for the purposes of generating a formal record of the project. Recommendations for payments to the building contractor shall be reviewed monthly and certificates of payment issued based on value of work executed and progress. Formal reports shall be issued with a record of work completed, quality, cost management, site health & safety and information requirements as noted by the contractors
A full change management strategy is developed for each project to ensure that the client is provided with such information as is necessary to make informed decision on matters which impact the project scope, design, cost and programme.
On completion of the building works Taylor Group ensures that handover and completion protocols are developed and implemented in full to meet clients’ expectations and to achieve this we ensure that inspections are comprehensive covering all aspects of the project.
- Obtain from the contractor all test and commissioning reports required to verify the correct operation of the systems having witnessed commissioning tests to confirm that the work is completed satisfactorily
- Arrange for the hand over by the contractor of operating and maintenance manuals and instructions, including record drawings of the building services installations
- Arrange for the contractor and services contractors/suppliers to hand over the individual systems and to provide detailed instructions to clients’ personnel regarding the operating features of the systems installed
- Provide for a detailed walk-down of all building systems and facility with clients’ personnel
Taylor Group co-ordinate the preparation of an Opinion on Compliance with Planning Permission and Building Regulations (BCMS) and in the role as Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) ensure that all aspects of the Safety File are in place and handed over to the client.
During the defects liability period inspections shall be carried out by the Taylor Group team and client’s representative, and agreement shall be reached on the extent of the work required and its execution.
It is the policy of Taylor Group that a Lessons Learned exercise is conducted with the construction team and separately with the client’s team, and a formal record of same and its findings is issued to the responsible personnel agreed with the project stakeholders.
